Ancient Language. Personal Transformation.

Original ogham art works by Miriam O’Connor, Irish co-founder of Hotel Philosophy, translating meaningful systemic sentences into the ancient script of Ogham.

Ogham is one of the oldest written languages of north-western Europe, with inscriptions carved into standing stones discovered across Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Emerging from an older world of land, kinship and memory, it is a script deeply associated with trees, thresholds and the wisdom of nature.

At Hotel Philosophy, Ogham is brought into contemporary life.

During a constellations session or Simple Truths reading, certain sentences can emerge with striking clarity. Words that unlock movement. Words that restore dignity. Words that help us step forward.

Bespoke Ogham Art

These transformational phrases are then carefully rendered into bespoke Ogham artworks, creating a personal object of meaning and beauty.

Each piece is presented in an oak frame.

In Celtic tradition, the oak symbolises strength, endurance, truth and noble rootedness. It is the tree of steadiness through changing seasons, a fitting guardian for words that mark a new chapter.

To place one of these works in your home is to keep close a sentence that matters. A private compass. A threshold marker. A reminder of who you are becoming.

Commissioned pieces available following readings, constellations or by personal request.
